Perhaps the time has come to share with you come of my favourite haunts on the Internet. Perhaps not, but here they are anyhow. Some of these are relevant to business podcasting and some are not. They're all great places to get to know the current issues with podcasting, the players in the industry, and for finding a variety of resources.
I go to Podcast Alley almost daily, but I'm a bit of a lurker. I go there because there's a great selection of podcasts and the search and categorization of the site makes it easy to find what I feel like listening to. The built in player also makes it nice and easy to just click and listen.
Podcast Pickle
The Podcast Pickle is another directory. It's not a populated as Podcast Alley, but it has a pretty good user forum which I enjoy. Unlike many forums on the Internet, the users on Podcast Pickle are actually quite nice most of the time.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the place to get your podcasting news. The site is updated daily and the news it carries is almost always interesting and relevant.
There are a few places to get 'pod safe' music, but I like Magantune the best. Pod Safe music refers to music that is licensed in such a way that it can be played on podcasts. Here's a tip - if the music is from a major label then it ain't podsafe. One day the lables will get it (or their artists will leave them as was the case with some Sony artists who wanted to be on iTunes), but until then podcasters have to be careful.
