I had a good chuckle this morning when I read Podonomics. Leesa has grown tired of shameless self-promotion hiding under the thin guise of press releases.

Aside from adding a new host to the show, Leesa enumerates a list of other things she's seen in press releases that just aren't newsworthy in the least. My favourites are (my comments in bold)
  • Being listed in iTunes (like that's a hard thing to do!)
  • Using a high definition microphone instead of just a mic (maybe like a $300 Rode mic?)
Leesa has pretty much hit on the reason why I've given up on the press release sites as a source of news. They're full of ridiculous crap and it's too hard to find the good stuff.
