I tell ya, love 'em or hate 'em, Apple is firmly in the driver's seat of the podcast adoption bus. While many services and manufacturers out there are focussing on what to do with podcasts once they're been created, Apple is pretty much running over people in an attempt to get more people creating shows to begin with. This year, Apple's Mac Camp will offer a podcasting workshop. The camps are aimed at kids 8 - 12 years old and gives them 2.5 hours of hands on time at any Mac store across the US.
You have a story to tell. Or maybe you want to share your interests or your points of view with the world. There’s no better way to get yourself heard than with a podcast. The Podcast Workshop will show you how easy it is to create one with GarageBand. You’ll learn how to record and edit yourself, how to add music and photos, and when your done, how to send your podcast to iTunes.
Eerie, isn't it? Nothing like bringing them in the fold while they're young. But that's not the point. The point is that in 10 years, these are the people you're going to be talking to. They're going to have 10 years of podcasting under their belts by then, so you better make it good!
