Gervais' podcast has been somewhat controversial as earlier this year it became one of (perhaps the only?) pay-per-listen podcast. Nobody thought the model would work, but it seems to be.
Gervais and his side-kick Karl Pilkington are, evidently, very funny people.
Karl is a freak, born prematurely bald, in Manchester, with a limited education that he found under rocks and bins. Nowadays he just gathers bits of information from spurious Web sites and fills in the gaps with his imagination.
Wired has always paid attention to The Next Big Thing (TNBT), so it's no surprise to see podcasts on the list of Rave award winners, but it's still nice.
