While I think that audio podcasts will always be more popular than video casts, there are some areas where videocasting is a better choice of delivery. Business is one area in particular where video casting might be a better choice for a number of reasons.
Video casts can be used effectively to demonstrate products or processes, to record business events like shareholder meetings, and to perform a more personal form of damage control if things have gone wrong.
Making a video cast, however, is a little big harder than making an audio podcast.
Jose Castillo has written a three-step video podcasting article over on Streaming Media. I'm not a video caster myself so I can't vouch for its accuracy, but it certainly seems like a good place to start if you're considering video casting.

jon, thanks for this link. Videocasting is probably be a norm in the next 12 months. So I better start taking acting lessons now.
