I'm going to guess that this is a "windcast", but who knows. I guess if you're into US politics then it might be interesting.
The list of podcasts include:
- The Senate Republican Conference 2006
- Senator Allen from Kuwait City
- General Hayden's confirmation for the CIA
The US government is clearly playing off the time-shifting part of podcasting. I would wager that most of this stuff was broadcasted on main stream media already, but making it also available as a podcast allows a much larger audience to see/listen to the events.
I can't see any compelling reason for the US government to offer podcasts except out of the goodness of their heart, so it's nice to see.
