I reported earlier that Senator John Edwards was the keynote speaker at Gnomedex '06. The videos are now on You Tube and he's quite an engaging guy to listen to.
If you missed it, the reason why Edwards is becoming a poster child for podcasting is because he used podcasting during the last Presidential election.

I just wanted to comment that Edwards did NOT use podcasting during the last presidential election. He started podcasting after the 2004 election... sometime in early 2005. He was the first national politician to do so. But it wasn't during the presidential election, it came after that :)
I bet, though, that he'll use it to full effect in 2008... and that's good for both the political and technological communities.
