I'm currently on Vancouver Island on a little vacation and getting married. I thought that it would be fun to leave you with some thoughts I have about podcasting. This is one is a series...
Listener feedback: Good or Ugly?
Most podcasters have constructed some way for listeners to provide feedback. Some ways are as simple as providing the ability to comment on the show blog, and others go as far as to have a listener voice line (like us!).
I think that it's always wise to encourage feedback. When you open yourself up like that, there's no doubt that you'll be getting bad stuff as well as good stuff, but remember that this is pre-recorded podcasting and not a live call in show.
The best thing about negative feedback is that you can have days or weeks to research and formulate a response which almost always puts you in a better light. And it's fun.
Remember - just because you solicit feedback doesn't mean you have to use it.
