Videocasters rejoice! Google Video has implemented video bookmarking. Yup, you can now create a link to a specific minute and second within a Google video, rather than just the whole video itself.
This goes hand in hand with my recent post on how the ability to search podcasts is going to change the traffic and community patterns of the genre. Up until now, if you wanted to reference a piece of video, you had to provide the link to your listeners/viewers and tell them where to fast forward to. Now you can just provide the link and when they click it, the video will just start at that point.
Example:
Second Life video where CEO Phillip Rosedale explains that they “” [12m48s = 12 minutes, 48 seconds]
I'm not using You Tube anymore. I'm using Google Video from now on.
And when can we get this technology for audio, Google?
