CBS to Videocast Nightly News

Starting September 5th, CBS has announced that it will simulcast the Evening News With Katie Couric. The show will be broadcast on normal television and on the web with episdoes being left online for later viewing/downloading.

Up until now, the CBC was really the only major television outlet in North America that has seriously leaping on the podcasting bandwagon. I'm not sure that a single show counts a 'adoption' per se, but it's nice to see other big media outlets playing with the technology.
