Does anyone know if this happened or not? I don't use Windows all that often and I don't own a Mac so I'm hardly ever in iTunes. This article is from April and it's talking about Apple putting ads in the bottom-left of the screen while podcasts are playing via a computer (not on players, yet).
I started up a few podcasts via iTunes on my Windows box to check it out, but didn't see anything. I'm curious, though, what this means if it happens.
For starters, I don't think it's going to work. Is anyone even looking at the screen when they're playing a podcast? I know I''m not unless it's a video cast. Secondly, how will this affect the myriad of other deals that Apple has with TV networks and music labels? They all make money by charging for their goods through iTunes. How will they feel about their product being slapped with a bumper sticker?
