I stumbled across an old friend of mine, Molly Malone, today. Molly is on the rant about Podshow removing a review he posted about one of Podshow's podcasts, Shadowfalls.
I've known Molly for a while now and while we disagree on some things now and again, he's a pretty quick wit and generally a reasonable guy. Even if I didn't think that, it would be hard to argue with the screen captures he has of his review once posted on Podshow, and then a second screen capture showing his discovery a few days later when he went back to check on it.
So what gives? Curry and his Podshow cronies have been taking an absolute beating since they opened the doors a few months ago. The podcasting community has high expectations of Curry and between the so-called feed hijacking, the alleged too-restrictive Podshow contact, and now the removal of reviews for a Podshow show...well, let's just say that there's an awful lot of quacking going on over at Podshow and you know what they say about things that quack like a duck and walk like a duck.
It's a DUCK!
Molly has the screenshots and a copy of the (not so negative) review he posted that was removed on his blog.
I've had a lot of issues with Curry. I've sent him audio comments, emails, and a promo to at least get promotion(as many people do), but either I didn't suck up enough or he simply doesn't like me. I've never gone out of my way to bad mouth him at all.
Maybe what I do sucks and it's not worth mentioning. I never get enough feedback to really tell, and that's implying negative. Regardless, if this comment was "deleted", I'm sure they'll attribute it to server issues.
