Hendry Lee has started what looks like a soon to be A-Z podcasting glossary. So far, we have A-H and I either agreed with every definition or learned something from it.
For instance, my knowledge of hardware terms is somewhat lacking and I didn't know the difference between a condenser and dynamic microphone:
Condenser microphone: A microphone that measure sound pressure by using the variation in capacitance of its plates. This type of microphone requires phantom power.
Dynamic microphone: A type of microphone that uses a magnet moving in a coil of write to generate electrical signals.
Stay tuned to the glossary for I -Z.
